Let's Roll is a car racing app that provides new experience by tailoring the game to your specific needs by giving the option to control: time, score and players.

The Problem

Speed, adrenaline, and drive often lure fans of extreme sports. Many people dream of being a part of a race to feel all those emotions. No wonder video and mobile games with cars and drivers are so popular among users. Each game provides new experience and emotions so there cannot be too much of them. Most games do not allow a game tailored to your needs, you enter the game app and start playing against random players, without the ability to control the time, score or players.

I wanted to understand from the users themselves what their expectations and requirements from a car racing application are.

To conclude, users emphasized their need to feel in control when using any game app. According to users, specific features should include:

Struggle to sort the options according to their preferences

would like the ability to play off-line without any commitment.

would like a the ability to play with friends and to be able to choose the players.

In my research i came across many professional gamers and their main take was that apps are not for professional use, a computer game has much more options, better control of the vehicle because moving the car with a finger on the screen or rotating the screen is inaccurate and does not allow professional and real use of the game.

The Solution

I created a system that is easy and straightforward to enter. You can choose to play offline without logging in and registering. Although not all the options are like when connecting to Facebook, the main function of fast play exists with time or score control.
The second option is to connect through Facebook and there you have full access to all parts of the game. Starting with player selection, time, score, car and route.
After the research I discovered that a lot of the participants want the option to play with friends even if they are not physically together in the same room so I added the feature of playing with friends (I will elaborate on this Feature later…)
Since an app is not used by professionals it has to have a value in order to attract people to come and play for fun by adding the option to control the players, create a game with your friends, choose the time or score of the game- I hope i achieved it. Enjoy!

The Design

On the side you can see the finalisation of the off-line mode, the actual screen of the game with the process of going into the app and choosing off-line mode and the options that are available- most of the options are not available off-line but the main function of a car racing game is and you get to control the time and score of the game.

This is the screens of the main app: notifications, tutorials, shop, invitation, settings and score.

The main goal is a simple and as flexible as possible in order to achieve the best experience.

 

And of course the option to choose the player, create a game with friends by sending a link.
